Erin Kilbane
Stewardship Coordinator
After beginning her career in the Midwest, Erin arrived in the beautiful Chesapeake region to join the Scenic Rivers team in the spring of 2024. She has always tried to spend as much time outdoors as possible and is excited to play a part in conserving scenic and natural lands.
Before joining Scenic Rivers, Erin worked in the research and sustainable agriculture sectors, focusing on ecological, regenerative agriculture, and climate solutions research. In her previous role with the Agricultural Research Service, Erin, who is a FAA-certified remote pilot, collected remotely-sensed malting quality data as part of a research project on barley for the brewing industry. Erin has also conducted research on perennial grain crops, regenerative agriculture systems, and plant water and nutrient uptake with Loyola University Chicago.
Erin holds an MS in Environmental Science and Sustainability and a BS in Environmental Science with a concentration in Conservation and Restoration Ecology from Loyola University Chicago. In her free time, Erin enjoys hiking, biking, photography, and salsa dancing.
