2022 Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100
Weather may have canceled the ride, but it didn’t dampen Scenic Rivers’ fundraising spirits!
Hurricane Ian forced the cancelation of the 2022 Anne Arundel County Lifeline 100 Century Ride, but the event was still a fundraising success for Scenic Rivers. Thanks to sponsors, rider registrations, and individual fundraisers, Scenic Rivers raised over $17,000 for our land and water!
We are so thankful to everyone who helped make this a successful fundraising event:
- We are thankful for the riders who signed up to “Ride for Land & Water.” We can’t wait to celebrate and ride with them next year!
- We’re thankful for the Lifeline 100 organizers who work hard all year to plan a fun, safe event for riders of all abilities. We love partnering with you!
- We’re thankful for our Lifeline 100 sponsors whose generous, ongoing support makes our work possible. We can’t do it without you!
And, of course, we must thank our “Rockstar Fundraiser” Debi McKibben, owner of Simply Stronger Yoga, Fitness, and Massage Studio. This year, Debi raised $10,170 to support Scenic Rivers’ mission! Amazing!
Over the last three years, Debi has raised a combined $28,170! AMAZING!
Debi’s enthusiasm for fitness and clean water are what first inspired Scenic Rivers to partner with the Lifeline 100. And we’re so glad we did.
Debi recently shared with us what inspires her to work so tirelessly on behalf of land and water:
“I have lived in Anne Arundel County since 1990 and what I love about living here is the water. No matter where my bike takes me, I am always riding next to water. And I want our waterways to be clean and healthy. Scenic Rivers Land Trust is an amazing nonprofit that is helping to ensure this.
Three years ago I decided that my passion for where I live needs to be supported and taken care of. Scenic Rivers Land Trust does just that. They are preserving our land, our marshlands, our shorelines, our rivers, creeks, and our Chesapeake Bay.
I thank all of those who supported me in my bike ride and who feel the same way I do! I hope next year that I can find more folks who are just as passionate about Anne Arundel County and are willing to support this amazing nonprofit.”
THANK YOU, Debi!
