Conservation Easement Breakfast Briefing Attracts CEBrief 2015 speakers

51 Participants!

On September 15th, Scenic Rivers Land Trust held a Conservation Easement Breakfast Briefing at the DoubleTree Hotel in

Annapolis. The briefing explained the legal and tax mechanics of conservation easements to local law, tax, and real estate professionals. Though it was geared towards those professionals, everyone was welcome. A wide variety of professionals attended, as well as local landowners.

“Thanks to Dick Davies, Ben Wechsler, Dave Ballard, Rick Leader, and Nina Fisher the morning was full of informative presentations,” said SRLT Easement Outreach Coordinator Sarah Knebel. She also thanked attending SRLT Board members for helping the event run smoothly.

“I would like to especially recognize our sponsors who made this event possible: The Paul & Maxine Frohring Foundation, The Brick Companies, DavCo/Wendys, Elm Street Development and PNC,” said Knebel.

SRLT hopes that through this briefing and the relationships built there that the professional community of Anne Arundel County will have a greater awareness of the opportunities available for creative land preservation and that Scenic Rivers Land Trust is a resource for the entire county concerning conserving land.
